Hello, My name is Katie Rhianna Gelder, I am 17 years old and I am currently studying Level 2 Art and Design at Kendal College. I live in Troutbeck Bridge. I enjoy reading, drawing, I used to like going onto paint and drawing lines and filling them in and browsing the internet. My goals for the future are to hopefully work with animals; I have always loved Art from a young age because I have grown in an art and design family. I have a collection of National Geographic that I like to look through and look at the different photographs that people have took in different countries, I hope to one day be able to travel to different countries such as India and Iceland to get amazing photographs. I am currently in functional skills to improve my maths grade to a C, Up to now I have got distinctions on all of my projects that I have created on this course. I am predicted to get a high merit/distinction for the project that I am doing now. My own projects out of college include; archery, reading, photography, TV shows, books and animals. I like to go onto the website dafont.com and look at older fonts and try to copy them out into a quote to draw onto a canvas. At the minute I am doing a canvas, I have painted the background a purple ombre and I am looking at a font to copy out a quote to design onto the canvas. My favourite animals are big cats and giraffes. I have decided to stay on to Level 3 Art and Design, I have really enjoyed Level 2 and thought that the best idea was to go onto Level 3 and try new things and experience more with art. I graduated from a very reputable University in the Philippines and got a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts and Design, major in Advertising. I have been working for almost 5 years, lasted 1 year on my first job as an all-around/in-house artist, almost 4 years at my previous job as a creative artist and ads designer, and also had some freelance graphic projects.

My name is Bethany Ann Young, I am 17 years of age, and I am currently in Level 2 Art and Design at Kendal College. I live in Kendal, Cumbria, and I went to Kirkbie Kendal Secondary School. I enjoy writing; reading, drawing (traditional and digital) and I have taken an interest in creating charms out of polymer clay. My hobbies include swimming, sculpting and astrology; I used to partake in Gymnastics and horse-riding when I was younger, animals and fantasy creatures fascinate me, which includes me having lots of biology and animals-based books. My goals in life are to create sculptures or pieces of artwork that capture people's eyes, to make people wonder 'How?' One of my goals is to set up my own business one day, selling my artwork and to inspire people. I'm currently working towards functional skills to improve my maths grade, in which I am hoping to get a C, as getting a higher grade would improve my chances of getting a better job to secure my future. Up to now, I have acquired 7 Distinctions and 1 Distinction * (star). My own interests outside of college include; paper cutting, swimming, painting, modelling with polymer clay, writing stories and reading. Polymer clay modelling was inspired by only a few photos I saw on Etsy, of people selling their charms and jewellery pieces. I love jewellery and creating new designs, especially if they relate to my hobbies, TV shows or books. For Level 3, I have a lot of skills to offer, these include mostly sculpting and drawing (traditional and digital) however, I could expand these skills to link into some other aspect of art. Level 3 would suit me, as I am a confident and hard-working individual, I aim to get all my work done on time and to the best of my abilities, taking criticism and feedback is what helps me to improve on my artwork. A vast knowledge of the artwork that happens in the world is available on the internet. Hopefully my personal statement has given you the confidence to see if I am acceptable for Level 3. I hope to hear back from you.

My full name is Gillian Hazel Gaspard and my favourite colour is purple. I am a very creative person and a real fun-loving person too. Some of my favourite television shows of all time are: Wonder Woman, I Dream of Genie, Bewitched, Charmed. Two of my favourite male actors are Jet Li and Jason Statham. My favourite local dishes include 'curry crab and dumplings,' 'coo-coo and callaloo,' 'pelau,' 'provision and saltfish or smoked herring,' 'baked beans and rice,' and 'roti or buss-up shut' (with mango, pumpkin, potato, channa and chicken). My favourite local drinks include 'sorrel,' 'pineapple or orange juice,' and 'caribbean fruit punch.' My interests and hobbies include business and trade, networking, music, movies, art, graphic design, modeling, photography, balloon and floral arrangement, cake decorating, travelling, international relations and protection of the environment. I also love to read alot of business magazines such as 'Entrepreneur' and 'Home Business Magazine.'
