Carlos Ruiz is a multifaceted artist who excels in every area of the arts. One of his works was featured on the Philippine postage stamp after winning the Grand Prize in a national painting competition. He also won awards and recognition in costume design and character makeup. I am currently the showroom designer/visual merchandiser for Bob Mills Furniture in Temple, Tx. I have been with the company two years now. I started in the Waco location with an empty showroom and through hard work filled it to reflect the company's vision with my twist on it. After six months I was able to take on a second showroom and run both the Waco and Temple locations. After a little over a year of working in both locations, I followed my general manager and now focus my energy on the Temple showroom. I have been privileged to work with HGTV's Angelo Surmelis and Fixer Upper's Joanna Gains while working with my company. Being a designer is a very rewarding career for me. Not only do I have the privilege of being creative everyday, but I am able to positively impact others' lives by transforming their spaces into a place they love.
