Anderson's art, & design career has been realized thru entrepreneurship proactively influenced by art culture. Anderson worked at Sean John where he assisted in the design of it's most highly received collections & their televised run way show for New York Fashion Week, which included original art based denim, & t-shirts. He left Sean John and co-founded Miskeen Originals, a national clothing brand whose claim to fame was 'hand-painted' artist signed t-shirts. After establishing wearable art for the masses from the U.S. to Japan, in 2005 he then moved on to establish Meezan:artcouture which he design directed until 2010. Meezan:artcouture encompassed fashion, design, abstract art, and had it's own art gallery and design studio in his hometown, Philadelphia. During that time he opened two retail stores in Philadelphia under the brand name Kamouflage where he ran a semi-vertical design based concept store that embraced his love and passion for art, design, and fashion. Today he is known as 'The Artrepreneur' because of his unique journey in the art and fashion worlds. He also has a joint venture with DIG, which designs, manufactures, and sells Peace + Loveâ„¢ Brand which gives a portion of all profits to Peace + Love Worldwideâ„¢, the non profit organization that markets and raises awareness for non-violence. Welcome to my portfolio. My name is Yaye Abibatou Ba. This is where my blog's name came from, the last sounds of my middle name 'Batu'. I chose this name to highlight and celebrate my Senegalese roots. I fell in love with Arts, specifically fashion and literature at a very early age about six years old. Growing up in a household where both my mom and dad were talented artists has had a big influence on me. I grew up drawing and painting with them, admiring and getting inspiration from their works. By the age of 12, I started designing my own clothes for festivities. My aunt who is a tailor would sew them for me. I remember using my schools breaks to make some fashion sketches. Today that passion of Arts is still in me. It actually defines who i am. I went to college and graduated with the bachelor of Arts in English Literature and French language. Using my love for both fashion and literature, i decided to create a blog with poetic descriptions of my works. Also as a French teacher ,I might add some French there :). Also, this is just a tiny sample of my designs. I am seeking for manufacturers and potential collaborations. I am able to provide fashion sketches and illustrations. Nadege Ngongo was born in the Republic of Congo, Central Africa. She comes from humble beginnings, where both her parents were into a variety businesses. When she was very young, Nadege moved to France and thus was exposed to a world of Art and Fashion. Her mother was an avid fan of the classic Hollywood era and this instilled in Nadege a hunger and love for vintage fashion and Haute Couture. As a teen she collected fashion magazines such as Vogue, Elle, Bazaar, Paris Match and made collages of different looks. Still to present day Nadege continues to explore fashion. Nadege “LIVES” and ”BREATHES” fashion! In 1996 she had an opportunity to come to the United States where she could pursue her dream in the fashion industry. She is fluent in multple languages. Once in America she went back to school and attained a BA in Fashion Merchandising and Retailing from CCSU in New Britain CT. She have worked for many luxury goods retailers such as Neiman Marcus, Saks Fifth Ave, Nordstrom and held positions as designer specialist, business manager, cosmetics manager and personal shopper. She is well qualify with 17+years experience in the fashion industry! Nadege is very well travelled, and quite familiar with the fashion capitals around the world, i.e.Paris, London, Milan, Miami, Los Angeles and of course New York.

I graduated in 2012 with a BA (Hons) Degree in Textile design where i specialised in digital prints for fashion. I love Fashion and interiors, i particularly enjoy researching new trends. I find inspiration from many different subjects, from nature to architecture. I use Adobe photoshop to produce my designs, however i am also skilled at other print techniques such as screen printing and heat transfer. I like experimenting with new and interesting colour ways and seeing how this really changes the look and feel of a design.
