Hello, My name is Katie Rhianna Gelder, I am 17 years old and I am currently studying Level 2 Art and Design at Kendal College. I live in Troutbeck Bridge. I enjoy reading, drawing, I used to like going onto paint and drawing lines and filling them in and browsing the internet. My goals for the future are to hopefully work with animals; I have always loved Art from a young age because I have grown in an art and design family. I have a collection of National Geographic that I like to look through and look at the different photographs that people have took in different countries, I hope to one day be able to travel to different countries such as India and Iceland to get amazing photographs. I am currently in functional skills to improve my maths grade to a C, Up to now I have got distinctions on all of my projects that I have created on this course. I am predicted to get a high merit/distinction for the project that I am doing now. My own projects out of college include; archery, reading, photography, TV shows, books and animals. I like to go onto the website dafont.com and look at older fonts and try to copy them out into a quote to draw onto a canvas. At the minute I am doing a canvas, I have painted the background a purple ombre and I am looking at a font to copy out a quote to design onto the canvas. My favourite animals are big cats and giraffes. I have decided to stay on to Level 3 Art and Design, I have really enjoyed Level 2 and thought that the best idea was to go onto Level 3 and try new things and experience more with art. I am presently the owner and founder of the small business called GHG GLOBAL POWERHOUSE (distributes health and beauty products). My full name is Gillian Hazel Gaspard and my favourite colour is purple. I am a very creative person and a real fun-loving person too. Some of my favourite television shows of all time are: Wonder Woman, I Dream of Genie, Bewitched, Charmed. Two of my favourite male actors are Jet Li and Jason Statham. My favourite local dishes include 'curry crab and dumplings,' 'coo-coo and callaloo,' 'pelau,' 'provision and saltfish or smoked herring,' 'baked beans and rice,' and 'roti or buss-up shut' (with mango, pumpkin, potato, channa and chicken). My favourite local drinks include 'sorrel,' 'pineapple or orange juice,' and 'caribbean fruit punch.' My interests and hobbies include business and trade, networking, music, movies, art, graphic design, modeling, photography, balloon and floral arrangement, cake decorating, travelling, international relations and protection of the environment. I also love to read alot of business magazines such as 'Entrepreneur' and 'Home Business Magazine.' I also possess a bachelor's degree in Business Administration and I am currently finishing my masters degree in Business Administration with specializations in Human Resource Management and Finance. I have a particular interest in organic architecture, having been brought up along the East African Coast. My exploration of this theme was taken further when writing my extended essay as I investigated how we can use architecture to bring people and nature closer. Sherrard Bostwick is a visual artist whose core practice is drawing, but also works in paint, performance, video, sculpture, digital imagery, sound, installation, fiber and print. She has shown her artwork in New Jersey, New York, Virginia, California, Ohio, and British Columbia, Canada. Her murals have served as title walls for exhibitions at the Vancouver Art Gallery, as well as interior and exterior wall paintings for public buildings and private residences. She received a MFA in Performance and Interactive Media Arts from Brooklyn College in New York and her undergraduate degree in Studio Arts is from Hiram College in Hiram, Ohio. As an educator, programmer and curator she is interested in the impact of creative gestures on identity and culture. She has a diverse foundation in arts including teaching and programming experience in museums, colleges, universities, open-space public programs, schools and arts organizations.

I'm a 16 year old who is very passionate about art. I speak both French and English fluently and a bit of Spanish. I started drawing when i was about 7-8 years old and have improved immensely over the years. My drawings and paintings are based on phases: when I was so in love with sunrises and sunsets, all I'd paint were those. Later on I moved on to my cartoon phase, when I'd draw only my favorite cartoon, comic strip characters like Asterix and Obelix. Right now I am in my graphic/ calligraphy stage, inspired by tattoo and graffiti artists . This portfolio is a compilation of works that I have done both under supervision, like in class or with an external teacher, and in my spare time.
