I was formally trained as an illustrator by artist instructors including Richard Ely, Dessa Kallos, Barbara Pearlman, and Jack Potter at FIT in Manhattan. From these working artists I learned practical industry knowledge along with their aesthetic lessons. A career as a designer/ merchandiser in the apparel industry followed my education and with that came new levels of insight into color theory, trends, and construction.
