I was formally trained as an illustrator by artist instructors including Richard Ely, Dessa Kallos, Barbara Pearlman, and Jack Potter at FIT in Manhattan. From these working artists I learned practical industry knowledge along with their aesthetic lessons. A career as a designer/ merchandiser in the apparel industry followed my education and with that came new levels of insight into color theory, trends, and construction. Opportunities to fully develop my decorative painting and carpentry skills rode along as companions to fashion\'s creative flow. More recent projects have included scenic carpentry for film, television, video, print advertising and commercial display.
